A new product is now available, Thump Mats. They can be made with different types of rope, including many kinds of coloured rope as well as different diameters of rope. Thump maps can be made any size to suit the location on a particular boat.
What a great show! The staff were great. Everyone at the show took time to stop and look at my display. The wooden boat owners gave lots of praise to my work and several potential orders look promising!!! I even sold my floral display to a fantastic senior Floridian lady… the price… A BIG HUG!!!

February 19/11 – Butson’s Boats Shop in Minnett, Ontario. ”ACBS Toronto” are putting on a hands on work shop and I will be there showing the members some fender making tips and other fancy rope work like Thump Mats, Monkey Fist knots, etc.. ”A GREAT TIME HAD BY ALL!!”

After much discussion with Dispro owners, builders, refinishers, and realizing that different folks want different spec’s… I put the following specification together as a base for my new Dispro fender.
Total Length – 17 inches
Diameter – 2-1/2 inches
Tie Line – 30 inches(with the end whipped and dipped)
Rise above the gunnel – 5 inches
The fender has a slight curve into the boat for optimum protection and style!
